Overview: M02 Eco Activity Explanation
This station develops the next tour-guide skill: explaining what visitors will do, how an activity proceeds, and how to participate safely and responsibly. Learning pages explain first; speaking pages are where learners practice and perform.
- Concept readiness: complete a simple 10-item, 4-choice MC check about activity explanation (10 points).
- Activity Learning: explore five prepared eco-tourism activity cards and complete 5 easy MC items (5 points). No activity is locked here.
- Activity Script Studio: understand Basic, Intermediate, and Field Performance activity-explanation scripts and the six guide moves, then complete 5 easy MC items (5 points).
- Guided Read-Aloud: freely choose any prepared activity and Basic / Intermediate / Field Performance level for practice with chunk highlighting (20 points).
- Commentary Practice: choose the one eco activity you feel most confident explaining. The system automatically uses that activity's standardized Field Performance script, shown without highlighting, and locks the activity when the first attempt starts (40 points).
- Tourist Q&A: answer practical visitor questions about the same locked activity (20 points).
- Dashboard Reflection: reflect on performance and the next improvement target. Required but unscored.

Formal station submission requires all 7 tasks plus server-verified speaking evidence.
A simple 10-item readiness check about explaining eco activities. Each correct answer = 1 point. Choose the best answer (A–D).
Explore how a guide explains an eco-tourism activity: what visitors will do, the main steps, what to prepare, safety advice, visitor value, and responsible behavior. You do not lock an activity here. Guided Read-Aloud lets you practice any activity and level; Commentary Practice later asks you to choose the one activity you feel most confident explaining.
Quick Activity Learning Check · 5 points
Five easy questions confirm that you understand the parts of an activity support card. Each correct answer = 1 point.
This page explains how an activity explanation develops from Basic to Intermediate to Field Performance. You do not choose an activity or script level here. Guided Read-Aloud is where you choose what you want to practice.
Quick Activity Script Check · 5 points
Five easy questions check the three script levels and the activity-explanation guide moves. Each correct answer = 1 point.
Guided Read-Aloud
Listen to the model with chunk highlighting, then read it aloud while the active chunk moves automatically.

Commentary Practice
Now transfer your practice to one standardized performance task. Choose the one eco activity you feel most confident explaining. The system always uses that activity's Field Performance script and shows it as a visual scaffold without highlighting.

AI-style Speaking Feedback: Activity Explanation
Standardized transfer task
All learners use the Field Performance level. Activity choice remains flexible so each learner can demonstrate performance with an eco activity they understand and feel confident explaining. Once the first attempt starts, the activity is locked so Attempt 1 and Attempt 2 are directly comparable.
What the system checks
Word amount, activity vocabulary, sequence markers, preparation/safety advice, responsible-tourism message, and a clear closing. This is rule-based formative feedback, not a replacement for teacher/human research scoring.
Tourist Q&A
Answer as a friendly tour guide for the same eco activity used in Commentary Practice. Answer directly, give one useful detail, and use a polite service tone.

Station E2 uses the verified E1 reliability baseline: it selects the best valid server-verified attempt for each speaking task, saves Practice_Scores, finalizes the station, confirms the central score route, and only then unlocks the formal score summary and downloads.
